Pranayama is a conjunction of two words Prana (force) + Aayam (Elongate). Pranayam helps in increasing the life and quality health. Interestingly, just the way we breathe may affect the way we perceive things as well as our mental health. Breathing plays an extremely crucial role in the regulation and maintenance of Prana. Bandh is used with Pranayama which helps in treatment of various illness. Bandha means to lock, close-off, to stop. In the practice of a Bandha, the energy flow to a particular area of the body is blocked. When the Bandha is released, the energy floods strongly through the body with an increased pressure which does cure.
